I came to Alaska to make a film, and stayed. Some friends teased that living in a small town here would be so boring I'd name every tree.
Over ten years later I still haven't met every tree, but I have come to share a concern about protecting old growth, fishing, and recreational areas in the Tongass, a temperate rainforest--the largest forest, in fact, in the United States.
